After continuing two major snowstorms (Dec 19 & 21) and temperatures in the -18C range a week ago, the mercury swung almost 30 degrees in the other direction to 10C Sat-Dec 27 to beat the all-time record of 9.4C set back in 1949.

2008 Dec 19 & 21 Snowmageddon hits Ontario
Snowmageddon hits Ontario on the First Day of Winter. Winter officially arrived at 7:04am Sunday and with 15 centimetres of snow on the ground as of noon and winds gusting along at 70 kilometres an hour, the season is looking more like a lion than a lamb.
